Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about working with Theta Trade — project procurement from China, payments, warranties, product categories and how the process works.
Payments, Warranties & Working Together
How do payments work?
You pay suppliers directly, under commercial terms we align before production starts — typically a deposit with the balance tied to agreed milestones such as pre-shipment quality control. We don't hold your funds; our management fee is defined per project, before any commitment.
What about warranties and after-sales claims?
Warranty terms are agreed with each supplier during commercial alignment, before the deposit. Because quality control is documented before shipment — with defect classification and photo evidence — claims are grounded in records, and within the agreed scope we follow up corrections and claims with the supplier on your behalf.
Which product categories can you source from China?
Flooring, walls and ceilings, doors and hardware, lighting, sanitary ware, furniture and joinery, and selected OS&E and appliances — as complete project packages for hotels, villas and commercial projects, including custom production to your specification.
Is there a minimum project size?
We work with project packages rather than single retail orders. The starting point is a short project review — scope, documents, budget and timeline — which quickly shows whether managed procurement from China makes sense for your project.
About Theta Trade
Who is Theta Trade for?
Project owners, contractors and procurement teams planning building materials procurement, interior fit-out procurement and hotel FF&E procurement from China — hotels, villas, commercial projects, developers and F&B.
What does the project review involve?
We review your scope, documents, budget, timeline and main concern to check whether the project is ready and suitable for procurement from China.
Do you guarantee prices or delivery?
No. We run a controlled process with structured risk reduction — verified suppliers, production follow-up, quality-control coordination and logistics support.
How does project procurement from China work?
Through the 8-phase Theta Cycle: project review and risk assessment, procurement planning, supplier selection, commercial alignment, production follow-up, quality-control coordination, consolidation with logistics support, and project finalization.
How long does procurement from China take for a project?
It depends on the categories and scope of the package: production typically takes 30–60 days, plus roughly 30–40 days of sea freight to Europe. Your project review includes a realistic schedule for your package.
Project Procurement from China
What is project procurement from China?
Project procurement from China is the managed purchasing of a complete project package — furniture, lighting, sanitary ware, materials and custom production — from suppliers in China as one coordinated process instead of dozens of separate orders. It covers supplier selection, commercial terms, production follow-up, quality control and logistics.
What does a project procurement manager actually do?
We act as your procurement management partner between your project and suppliers in China — structuring the purchasing plan, selecting and comparing suppliers, aligning commercial terms, following production, coordinating quality control and consolidating shipments. You keep decision power; we keep the process organized and visible.
How do you select and verify suppliers in China?
We match suppliers to your category, specification and risk profile — not only price. We assess factory capability, production experience, MOQ, lead times, payment terms, communication reliability and documentation before recommending a shortlist.
How does quality control work before shipment?
We coordinate quality-control steps before goods are released: an inspection checklist, product, finish and packaging checks, defect classification with photo evidence, supplier correction follow-up and a final QC summary or release recommendation.
Can you consolidate products from multiple suppliers into one shipment?
Yes. When products come from several factories, we coordinate delivery to a warehouse, container planning, consolidation, export documents and loading — so one organized shipment moves toward your delivery point instead of many fragmented ones.
How long do production and delivery from China take?
It depends on the product and the factory schedule, but as a general orientation: made-to-order furniture typically needs several weeks to a few months of production, plus sea freight. We confirm the real lead time with each supplier before you commit, and track the schedule during production.
What does procurement management cost compared to buying directly?
Our role is structured to protect the total project outcome — supplier fit, commercial terms, quality and logistics — where mistakes usually cost far more than management. Scope and pricing are defined per project before any commitment; you can request an offer or use our calculator for orientation.
Do you work with hotels, restaurants and residential developers?
Yes — hospitality and development projects are our core focus: FF&E packages, furniture, lighting, sanitary ware, finishing materials and custom production, coordinated as one procurement package rather than isolated purchases.
What happens if something arrives damaged or wrong?
Because quality control is documented before shipment, issues are usually caught earlier. If a problem still appears, we support the claim process with the supplier using the QC records, photos and the terms agreed during commercial alignment.
Do I need to travel to China?
No. We are your presence on the ground — factory communication, inspections and loading coordination happen through us, with photos, videos and reports keeping you informed at every phase.
